Strategic Discovery Session

Before we build anything, we define the system properly.

A focused €500 working session for businesses planning a custom website, commerce platform, or web application.

You leave with a clear technical direction, realistic scope, and a roadmap you can actually make decisions from.

€500 fixed price. Credited toward your build if we move forward.

Why this exists

Most web projects go wrong before development starts.

The problem usually is not the code. It is unclear scope, vague requirements, hidden workflow complexity, weak technical direction, and assumptions nobody challenged early enough.

Strategic Discovery exists to prevent that.

Instead of jumping straight into a build, we map the business model, workflows, technical requirements, integrations, risks, and commercial priorities first.

What we cover

Business goals

What the platform needs to support commercially.

Current limitations

What is slowing you down, breaking, or limiting growth.

User journeys

How customers, staff, admins, buyers, or members need to move through the system.

Technical architecture

The frontend, backend, data, CMS, API, hosting, and integration approach.

Scope boundaries

What belongs in phase one, what should wait, and what would create scope creep.

Pricing direction

A realistic build range based on complexity, not guesswork.

What you leave with

  • A clear recommended solution stack
  • A scoped roadmap
  • A realistic timeline
  • Build-phase recommendations
  • Risk notes and technical constraints
  • A written summary you can use for decision-making
  • A proposal if the project is a fit

Who it is for / not for

This is for

  • Businesses that have outgrown WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, or plugin-heavy systems
  • Teams planning a custom website, commerce platform, internal system, or web application
  • Founders who need technical clarity before investing thousands into a build
  • Businesses that want a proper architecture plan before development starts

This is not for

  • Tiny brochure sites
  • Low-budget template builds
  • "Can you just quickly fix this plugin?" requests
  • Projects with no budget for implementation
  • Businesses looking for free consulting before choosing the cheapest developer

How it works

1

Book the session

Choose a time and share your current website, goals, and rough requirements.

2

Pre-session review

I review your site, business model, technical constraints, and likely platform needs.

3

90-minute working session

We map the system, identify risks, and define what the build actually needs to do.

4

Roadmap and proposal

You receive a clear direction, next-step recommendation, and build proposal if the project is a fit.

€500 fixed price

Credited toward your build if we move forward within 30 days.

This keeps the process serious, focused, and useful whether or not we continue into implementation.

FAQ

Strategic Discovery FAQs

Why do you charge for discovery?

Because proper planning is real work. The session maps requirements, risks, architecture, and scope before implementation. It protects both the budget and the build.

Is the €500 credited toward the build?

Yes. If we move forward with implementation within 30 days, the €500 is credited toward the build cost.

What happens after the session?

You receive a recommended direction, scope notes, and a proposal if the project is a good fit.

Is this just a sales call?

No. It is a focused working session. A sales call decides whether to talk. Strategic Discovery defines what should actually be built.

Do I need to know exactly what I want before booking?

No. You need a serious business problem or growth goal. Part of the session is turning rough requirements into a clear technical direction.

Can I use the roadmap with another developer?

Yes. The discovery output is useful even if we do not continue together, though implementation quality depends on who builds it.

Do you work with existing WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify sites?

Yes. Many projects start because an existing template or hosted platform has become too limiting.

What if my project is too small?

I'll tell you directly. If a custom build is not the right move, the session will not force one.

Start with clarity before committing to a build.
